“We’re friends, but above all we fight now in the same category and therefore have the same goal. We both compete for the same belt. Our friendship is more than a title and we are professional enough to let the rivalry be just inside the Octagon. It would be a different situation, but our profession in this type of situation is quite possible to happen.”
MMA legend, Dan Henderson, talks to Tatame.com about his friendship with teammate Chael Sonnen.

Dan is one of those guys who is a competitor first. I think more fighters should have this mentality about getting in the cage with a friend or teammate. We would get to see some really great fights if more fighters were like this.

The new breed of fighters would never say anything like this and it's sad.

Scott Smith vs Pete Sell. That's how it should be.

just for the record, IMO chael would win this fight, did you see how well jake sheilds controlled old man hendo on the ground? chael would do much of the same with the addition of GNP. Stand up wise there is no question hendo is better i just dont see it staying on the feet that long if they do fight.

A potential fight with Sonnen would be at 205 so I wouldn't compare the two.
Loving the K Lamar quotes, BTW.
