If Hendricks can get screwed out of a title shot after knocking the soul out of numerous formidable UFC names, Alvarez can fight another contender before fightng for the LW belt.
All they have to say is former Bellator champion. The casual fanbase isn't that hard to win over when you present Alvarez's highlights. The casuals aren't snobs, they are simply less informed.

I don't see how Bellator can offer the same exposure.
They don't need to match exposure or branding. The contract only calls for them to match any offer dollar for dollar. The rest is just hypothetical and can't be broken into financial terms.

Zuffa made there offer knowing full well it included things BFC couldn't offer/= loophole This is a tactic to delay someone else from making money from Eddie.IMHO.

Maybe UFC should put together a contract that states something along the lines of a guarantee that he will get a sponsor from one of their sponsors and guarantee that he will be exposed to X amount of fans. That's impossible for Bellator to match as they don't have 25% of the fans that the UFC does, nor do they have the sponsors.

I think the immediate title shot seals the deal. Bjorn will not go that far to match the UFC, it would ruin the company's reputation. It was a smart move by the UFC, if it's true Bellator should be dropping the suit, cause there is no way they can afford the bad press for granting an immediate title shot....
