The UFC on Fuel 7 co-main event was just shook up. Featherweight Dennis Siver has withdrawn from his bout with Cub Swanson, and has been replaced by Dustin Poirier. The UFC's UK twitter account confirmed the news just a few minutes ago:

They don't state why Siver pulled out, but you'd have to get it was some sort of injury. Poirier (13-2) is coming off a first-round submission victory over Jonathan Brookins at The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale last month, and is 5-1 in the UFC overall.

Swanson (18-4) stated that his bout with Siver was supposed to be a number one contender's bout, but it's unclear if the same stipulation would be in place for this bout with Poirier. Dustin's only loss in the UFC thus far was to Chan Sung Jung at UFC on Fuel 3, which apparently earned the Korean Zombie a title shot. He's been on the shelf since then though, so who knows what the deal is. Either way, I actually like this fight even more than the original.

This is one of the better replacement fights in recent changes, IMO.

Looks like Koch/Lamas are now going to have firsties at winner of Edgar/Aldo(despite my belief that they'll probably milk it for a rematch).

Also, I'd love to see winner of Hioki/Guida get Mendes after he dusts Manvel.

Siver and Cub was a damn good fight but this is going to be even more exciting, IMO.

I'm a fan of Poirer and Cub has been looking sharp lately. Both guys are hungry and come to kill or be killed. I cannot wait for this fight!!!!

Really pissed about Siver pulling out. Nice replacement but im still bummed.

Maybe this means that we might see Dennis Siver VS The Korean Zombie when they both come back from their injuries.
If THAT'S the case, I say: "FUCK ToTheMotherfucking YES!!!"
