In my opinion mental things are on equal ground with physical problems, if somebody hasn't mastered the ability to keep parts of their life separated. So I completely can understand how a divorce could fuck with his head. Shit when my fiancee and I split up, I was in a weird spot for months.

As a professional athlete you need to keep personal and professional separate. Probably easier said than done (I am not throwing stones for I am not the picture of perfect mindset). I think a good example of this was the Jake Shields fight where he took on Ellenburger. I am not saying the same thing wouldn't have happened even if the circumstances of Shields dad dieing hadn't happened, but I thought he should have pulled out of that fight. Hopefully JDS will go into his next fight with a clear mindset.

Mr. MMA News Poster, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone at this forum site is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Exactly, be a professional and stay humble. Keep the excuses to yourself.
