Does it mean you beat the entire top 10 in one day? If Anderson Silva has not clearly cleaned out the MW division by going on 7 years undefeated and as champion then lets not use that term any more as it is meaningless.
Now that I got my rant out of the way, I think Weidman is a tremendous fighter with great potential but he really needs one more win before his shot to make him a true contender. Belfort v Weidman make it happen Silva! (Joe Silva)

This is at the same time both very surprising and par for the course. Vitor's win rided on his striking ability in the first ten minutes while he was fresh and he nailed it. That said, I REALLY thought Bisping would've fought a lot more conservatively and was shocked that he was so eager to simply kickbox with Vitor for the first round, which almost cost him then. Going into the second, I have no idea why Bisping didn't look to shoot or clinch Vitor, the gameplan was always "weigh on Vitor, drain Vitor, then pick him apart by riding your bike", I'm somewhat perplexed as to what the hell Bisping was intending with his approach, he was getting backed up immediately starting the in the second and his footwork was starting to get a little less lateral and he looked lost.
I expected Bisping to gameplan Vitor to a decision, but as we all said, it was Vitor's to lose within the first two rounds and he delivered.
NOW, we have to see Bisping get fed a bunch of low teen to 20ish ranked MWs for the next few years until he gets built back up to fight another top ten fighter, at which point, he will lose again. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Bisping is a very good fighter in almost every aspect and when he fights smart and safe, he can decision some very good fighters at MW....but much like Forrest Griffin in most of his heyday, I think that Bisping isn't an elite level fighter and is more of a "star attraction" than a , long-term top caliber challenger. Once again, Bisping is given the opportunity to prove he's top ten, and he loses, giving him HOW MANY TOP TEN WINS?
Bisping/Franklin would be a smart next move for a big name and relatively safe "bounceback" main event for a Fuel card.
As for Vitor, I don't think much of him and don't see him beating Weidman or Anderson anytime soon. Rockhold or Jacare would be smart matchups, but I kinda got the feeling as though maybe Chael won't be fighting Bones once the reality show is over.

I think Hendo will probably replace sonnen.

Belfort v Weidman make it happen Silva! (Joe Silva) | I simply think that a champ should fight at least twice a year, and he should roll with the guy who is the most deserving at the time. Both the challenger and the champion should have to prove they deserve the title by winning title fights. No matter how great a champion is he doesn't deserve the belt if he isn't fighting the #1 contender. If that contender was not worthy of the champ then the champ will get an easy pay day, but if he can beat the champ then the champ should not be the champ.
P.S. Anderson isn't the only one who doesn't defend the title often enough, but he is the worst about it. (unless you wanna bring up GSP and his injury layoff.)

Have Sonnen hype the fight, get people to watch the show...and then replace him. Hmmm sounds plausible.

2010 2 title defenses, 2011 2 title defenses, 2012 one title defense and one 205 fight (to save a card in short notice)
Agree with whoever said that they feel like Sonnen wont actually fight JBJ, I got that same weird feeling about this whole thing.
