| 'Clown' Sonnen responds to Vitor Belfort; vows to arrange a date with Jesus (Spoiler) UFC quick quote: 'Clown' Chael Sonnen responds to Vitor Belfort; vows to arrange a date with Jesus - MMAmania.com Quote:
UFC light heavyweight No. 1 contender Chael Sonnen was on the panel for the UFC on FX 7 post-fight show on FUEL TV and gave and emphatic reply to Vitor Belfort calling him a "clown" in his post-fight interview with Jon Anik following his knockout of Michael Bisping in the main event from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Quote: |
"Let me be real clear and speak direct with you Vitor: you've been telling the world that you'd like to meet Jesus. I'd be glad to arrange that travel. But, first, I'm going to get rid of Jon Jones. But, you are next. Let me be clear: Vitor, I accept. Don't make any mistake about that. You have called me out twice now, once after I signed a contract to fight Anderson Silva and once when you know I was busy with Jon Jones. I accept."

| Lol, that is classic. Although I think Sonnen takes Vitor to wrestling camp, I don't think Sonnen will do that great against Jones. So honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing that Vitor/Jones rematch.

I'm a huge fan of both of these guys but I really don't see this fight going well for Vitor. Provided Chael doesn't throw a stupid fucking spinning back fist, I'd see it going to the ground often and he'd pound out a decision.

But then after giving it some more thought, I realized Vitor's BJJ might pose some serious problems for Chael.

......chael's not gonna enjoy a fight with Vitor, his BJJ is top shelf and he hits hard and fast. Anderson Silva plays, Vitor just wants to hurt you. Anyway he's right about facing Vitor, after 3 loses (Counting the future Jon Jones loss) in a row though, I don't know if I'd want Vitor to be my win or go home opponent in the UFC........

Anyways, Sonnen all day

Belfort/Sonnen sounds like a good fight after Sonnen loses to Jones.
Was really impressed with Belfort. Didn't hear it much from the commentators, but Belfort was tagging Bisping coming in a lot with hard punches and that's why Bisping had a surprisingly low output. Also, those left kicks are so smooth, no telegraph. He just is not that blitz guy anymore; he's a lightning fast counter striker who's really good at finishing. Before this fight I'd say Sonnen would win for sure, now I'm not so sure.

After seeing how Vitor almost broke Jones arm, I think he can possibly rip chael's off. I also thought chaeltakes this fight hands down but now I'm not so sure.
