I think he could beat the guys like Bader and Davis; remaining at the very bottom of the top 10. However, I also think that he loses to Jones, maybe takes one more vanity fight and then retires.

The only good news is that Vitor may turn out to be a vanity fight and I want to see that one.

I think he is a loose 10 if even that. Maybe top 15, but that is debatable. His record at 205 is really bad, so I don't see too many bright things happening for him in that division. I would be happy to see him surprise me and beat jones though, a shake up in the 205 division would be fun to watch.

IMO chael would beat the following; Davis, Bader, Hendo, shogun, machida and possibly texiera.

His wrestling is so good that these people wouldnt match him, not to mention he has a iron chin (not ribs though).

I really hate to say this but the only guy I see Chael beating at the top of the205 division is the legend Dan Henderson. If Dan didn't catch him in the first or second I could see Chael tiring Dan out and winning a decision. Everyone else would be to physical for him, IMO.

i agree. chael is a great wrestler no doubt, but he's in another world at 205. I think bader, Davis, lil nog walk though chael handily.

I actually think he would do better than most think at 205. This coming from someone who cant stand Sonnen...

Shogun has horrible TDD....

Mousasi has bad TDD

Hendo... see shields fight

Lil Nog has good BJJ, but Cheal may have finally cleared up his sub defense. He could pull off a UD like Bader or Davis did, however uneventful it would be.

Glover and Goose's wresting is still in question. A fight with Chael would certainly test it.

Davis, Bader, and Mo could all beat Chael... they have the wrestling... but if they came in with a bad gameplan could still end up on their back. They would have to wrestle Chael, not just go for the KO and look to stop his TD's.

Rampage. With how bad his TDD was against Glover, I think Chael would easily run through him, if he showed up the same way.


I still see Jones, Machida, and Evans easily beating Sonnen and making it look easy... but those are the top3 guys...

Are you being serious? You are saying that before JBJ showed up, he could have reigned the 205 division?
