| Overeem says Bigfoot Silva will be just another statistic after UFC 156 knockout Alistair Overeem says Bigfoot Silva will be just another statistic after UFC 156 knockout - MMAmania.com Quote:
"The Reem," who will earn a title fight against division champion Cain Velasquez should he defeat "Bigfoot" in "Sin City," says he has the Brazilian outclassed in every aspect of the mixed martial arts (MMA) fight game but, as always, is looking to knock Silva out in the very first round.
His words to UFC.com:
"I know I am a better fighter. The fight will probably end in one or two rounds. I'm going to raise my hands after and he's just going to be a number on my list, a statistic. I want to finish him the first round. I have the power to knock 'Bigfoot' out for a long, long time. I expect 'Bigfoot' to try and take this fight to the ground. I believe I have the advantage if the fight goes to the ground. I am better in the stand-up, I'm better on the ground and I have more knockout wins, more submission wins. I am better in every aspect and I'm going to show that February 2nd in Vegas."

In theory he should destroy Bigfoot.
But Reems comes after a long layoff, and I would like to see how he would do assuming that he is not on roids anymore.

Just keep in mind that Reem is a bit of a front-runner. If Bigfoot turns this into an ugly/grinding fight I would expect Reem to look for a way out similar to his fights with Shogun, Arona and Liddell.

I see this just being embarrassing for Bigfoot.

Bigfoot is going to get his big head knocked off his oddly shaped body.

But yeah, definitely don't see how Bigfoot wins this. He has a good straight right but he doesn't really have many other punches tbh, not sure how he's going to set it up without Reem noticing it. I just see Reem finiding his way inside and obliterating Bigfoot with punches and knees. Bigfoots only chance to me is if he can catch an Overeem kick or somehow find a way on top and reach a dominant position.

^Good Lord, why would anyone trust Bigfoot for a month sig bet in this fight?
I mean, it's not as bold as trusting Rampage for a 6 month bet...but it's still pretty bold.

Speaking of which, where is Rampage? I haven't seen him since Saturday.
