Everyone is cool with DC dropping down and fighting jones without a fight at 205 because "fights at a high weight class mean more." So if rashad beats lil nog that win would mean more than weidmans wins over subpar opponents thus putting rashad ahead of weidman in the rankings if/when he moves to 185.

Hell Frankie lost his last 2 fights and is getting a shot. I'm not supporting this decision, but given UFC's logic latey, this doesn't look like the worst title decision they will be making. At least Rashad would've came off a win. | I know what you're saying, and I don't disagree. He definitely would be more deserving of a title shot than Chael or Diaz, but I'm still unhappy that the UFC is continuing the trend of giving title shots to people that don't deserve it.

Not only that but that somebody needs to be capable of putting asses in seats. The UFC is still in the business of making money.

Being I'm a huge fan of Rashad (win, lose or draw) I would greatly enjoy seeing him against Anderson. Being I'm a fan of Anderson I wouldn't be all that mad if my top 3 favorite fighter defeats him for the title. That would boost Rashad's profile with him being a two division champ and the guy who finally defeated Anderson Silva in the UFC.

Rashad is much more accomplished in mma than Chris, not to mention, if he wins his next fight, that perfectly sets up a fight with him and Anderson.
Title is not misleading, and nor was the other article about Chris being closer than most think. I mean, it's Chris or one other guy, how much closer can it get? If people would step back for a moment away from Weidman's balls, they would see he's not exactly been looked over time and time again. He's right there at a title shot and if he has to fight one more time, it's not robbery, it's no tragedy, his time has come, he's getting a shot either now or after his next win.
