I think Frankie won, just in case that isn't clear.

I must have missed the controversy last night. Aldo clearly won rounds 1 & 2, 3-4 were Edgars, and round 5 was close in the beginning, but Aldo definitely did the most damage in that round and finished strong. I fail to see how any judges fucked up..

If Aldo really said Faber was a tougher fight, I would call him a liar. Like someone else mentioned, I think it was similar to how Anderson calls Franklin his toughest opponent... it is just a respect thing. Quote:

What if we give Frankie more punching power? Or more speed? Or better takedowns?
What if we gave Overeem a better chin? Hendo some cardio? Chael some sub defense? Kampmann a brain? Stann a groundgame? Rampage some common sense?
What if, what if...

I love it how Frankie is a boring point fighter because he doesnt get the KO but guys like Rampage/Wanderlei/Bendo/Cruz etc etc are all wrecking machines lol. People forget that Frankie has 7 "OTN" bonuses....something about 5 people in the world can say.
Give the guy some credit. He took it to Jose Aldo like no one has in a damn long time, And its Jose Fucking Aldo. Hes arguabley top3 in both LW and FW, and has never been finished..and consider that for the last 3 years he has litterally been fighting the #1 and #2 guys in his divisions.
The dudes a stud, losing a close decision to Aldo should never hurt your staus or fanbase.

I must add that Aldo didn't exactly impress the shit out of me as he coasted in the last three rounds. He did what he had to do to win though, so good on him.

I mean I know that in the event of a tie the belt stays with the champ, but I didn't know the champ gets the round by round benefit of the doubt.

Judges tend to give close rounds to the champ as a default.
