Exactly!! Everybody who scored round 3 and 5 for Aldo scored it based on the front kick and the superman punch.
In rd 3 Aldo had 1 minute where he did anything and in that minute Frankie also matched him shot for shot.
In Rd 5 Aldo started the first minute hot and I was thinking Frankie is letting this slip away and the frankie just took over the round and continued what he did in the 4th.
I loved in the 4th how he started to bite down on his mouth piece and just go after Aldo and show no reguard for him. He did that in the 3rd Maynard fight in Rds 3-4 i loved it. I think he needs to come with that from the start because even though i feel he won te fight these judges just are not giving him his respect. I feel it's time for him to take it.
There's no need for him to drop to 135 in my eyes he didn't even lose the belt at 155 the first time. Again a round he won scored to henderson because of an upkick with 20sec left in a round that Frankie controlled.

Alot of people gave Aldo the 5th just because he did a stupid last second cage punch, and then a super exaggerated celebration. I think the celebration was because he knew he lost the last 3 rounds and was trying desperately to sway the judges. I doubt anybody else thinks that though.
| Edgar does that same shit after every fight, he invented getting paraded around the cage like he won

Aldo landed more shots to the head which is what earned him the round in the eyes of most.
Edgar has nothing to complain about. He's constantly in close rounds & doesn't distinguish himself. Sometimes that will go his way (like the 1st Penn fight) & sometimes it won't (Vs Bendo & Aldo).
I had it even going into round 5 & thought Aldo won the fight in that last round.

Rashad did the same thing and he clearly lost all three rounds. When Frankie does it, he always has a pretty good reason to genuinely believe that he's won.

Everyone who does not think RD 5 was close needs to rewatch and look at the stats
Aldo won IMO. The damage show it. Frankie is a tough dude but Aldo won. That said Aldo needs to work cardio bad

I kinda feel bad for Edgar. This is the third close dec he loses in a row.
I would be really depressed at this point if I was him.

He won't get a rematch anytime soon with Aldo as the champ. He was also still the smaller guy in the ring even after dropping a weight class.
It's all about getting marque match ups with and established well known name like Frankie. And with all do respect to the rest of the 145's matches with them don't sell as well unless a title is on the line and it's a waste to use a better drawing name like Frankie on them from a business standpoint.
