Just to add, it's not only funny that GSP is the lineal light heavyweight champion, but Jon Jones is the lineal lightweight champion
- Jens Pulver
- Duane Ludwig
- BJ Penn
- Lyoto Machida
- Shogun Rua
- Jon Jones
The logic for both the LHW and LW lineal titles goes out the window if you consider that you have to defend at the appropriate weight limit. If that's the case, then Ben Henderson is your LW champion but in a completely different lineage:
- Jens Pulver
- Duane Ludwig
- Tyson Griffin
- Frankie Edgar
- Gray Maynard
- Frankie Edgar
- Ben Henderson
and Frank Shamrock is still the LHW champion.
All fun and games, but really meaningless.
