A fight with Wanderlei or Le would be crazy!

Puffff, Wandy vs Manhoeff would be definitely a fight that would not last more than 2 minutes. Someone is definitely going to sleep and I actually think that it is definitely Wandy.
Wandy has no chin left and Manhoeff has insane KO power. He actually Knocked out Mark Hunt!!!!!

Manhoef has always been one of the scariest looking fighters. He's one of the kind of fighters you'd want on your side in a bar fight just by looks alone.
He could put on show fights in the UFC for guys in the middle of the pack.
As for Machida, I would hate to see him crumple Hendo with some kicks to the knee. Hopefully Hendo's right hand can find him somehow if he tries that approach.

Manhoef could squeak out a Lytle-like career before retiring, if he were so inclined. But he isn't, and he would rather fight in Japan or Europe.

Lyoto should've brought Manhoef in to help prepare against Shogun, not Hendo. If he wants to prepare for Hendo, he should bring in a greco wrestler swinging a sledgehammer against his chin.

Melvin will certainly clean up his striking even more so, and taking out the legs of Dan is an excellent game plan if that is the game plan. No legs = less power (though I bet Dan could still land a knockout punch with two bad legs) and slow takedowns.
Machida needs to let Dan do all the work in round one, and then take over in round 2 and possibly 3.

Id love to see Melvin in the UFC...
I dont see him ever climbing the rankings too high, his overall skillset isnt there... but he could make some great fights...
Melvin vs. Leban, Lombard, Stann
the guy is a great striker... His chin may be questionable at this point... but Damn, this guy KO'd HUNT.
but yes I agree with others... Melvin and Hendo both have serious power, but their styles couldnt be further apart.

Against a stick and move striker like Machida, Hendo should be looking to take him down ASAP. Realistically, he'll probably try to stand with him, and land an H-bomb. But if that doesn't work, he'd be dumb not to take him down, which I believe he can probably do at will.
Plain and simple, Machida should have brought in a few high level wrestlers for his training camp. He should be far more worried about defense, than trying to improve his already fantastic striking. Training with a kickboxer isn't going to help him not get taken down, and it's not going to help him to get back up.
That's not to say he shouldn't improve his striking at all, but being this close to a fight, he should be preparing for his opponent's strengths, not something Machida's already strong in. He should have been training to improve his kicking a month or months ago, not now. Unless he does in fact plan to kick Hendo's knees into submission, then I suppose he made the right choice. We'll all see on fight night. (Obviously this is coming from a fight fan, and not a professional fighter, so who the hell am I to say what he should or shouldn't be doing.)
