It's interesting how many LW's are encouraged to drop a weightclass to face Aldo. That's not the case with any of the other champs in the org.

Lamas is too naive to realize that Dana put the whole "Pettis text" in motion from the beginning. We all know that $$$ is the official match maker in the UFC, not Dana, Joe Silva, Lorenzo, or Sean Shelby.

If Ricardo's looking for a title shot, I hear Anderson Silva's in need of an opponent.

Did anyone else catch Goldie's comment on broadcast Saturday that this would be a "year of super fights"? I think we're going to see a lot more shenanigans in 2013; with at least one Silva superfight as well.

Overall, I'm guessing that we'll see Jose at LW (assuming he beats Pettis), Silva fight GSP instead of Weidman, and Rousey/Cyborg.

Ricardo Lamas not happy about lost UFC featherweight title shot - Bloody Elbow

Lamas spoke about getting passed over on UFC Tonight, and he was understandably angry:

"I'm pretty upset about it. I'm busting my ass, I put in all this work and I'm not being rewarded. I'm just a little dumbfounded by the whole situation."

"I thought I already established I was the number one contender. If Koch would have beaten me, none of this would have happened."

"If guys are dropping weight classes, they should earn their spot."
