Don't think he will return from his suspension to the UFC unlike other fighters to have popped recently Tavares doesn't have much drawing power or ranking position.

I certainly wouldn't complain. I find it bullshit a fighter gets suspended a damn year for smoking a joint, but doping to give them an edge gets 9 month. I really don't get it.

Diaz got the year because it was a second time offense and instead of working with the commission to get a lighter suspension he tried to fight it. I think most other marijauna suspensions have been 6 months or less for first time offenders.

I don't really think it has so much do with smart, as with not giving a shit. lol

But testing for dead pot metabolites is a joke anyways. The effects of Marijuana last 4-6 hours, why fault someone when they obviously weren't under the effect of such things during the fight. It's not a PED. So the only concern should be the safety of the fighter.
