Hendricks spoke his mind during an appearance on MMAmania's Verbal Submission podcast last night and he didn't hold back:

"My reaction was like, 'Really?! You're an idiot.' He said that Condit really did beat Nick Diaz, know what I'm saying? He said, 'I'm fighting the true number one contender Carlos Condit,' and now, he's going backtracking and saying, 'Well, I think [Hendricks] lost.' Who cares? You don't get to decide. He's not a judge. He's not a judge. He's a fighter. He's paid to fight and he's paid to fight me. The fact that he was able to ask and get this request [to fight Diaz], the only thing this is, is it gives me more drive. It's not like I didn't have enough but what's gonna happen is, whenever I look across the cage, he's not going to see fear. He's not gonna see anything. All I want to do is I want to fight him. I want to look across and see GSP and that might be something he's not used to. I don't know. I don't know why he didn't take the fight but I guess I wouldn't want to fight me as well."

I feel like he's got a right to be mad and speak his mind. It sucks that this has become such a pattern in the UFC, no matter what weight class it is. Some of it makes for exciting fights, but it's really gotta piss off the guys who have been earning their contendership the right way.

Eh I thought he beat Kos. Plus, most of Kos's success early came from the barrages after the blatant eye poke (that he does every fight).

^GSP will not smash Hendricks imo. I, as a Diaz fan, think he has a better chance than Diaz...and I think it's a pretty decent chance, actually. GSP will obviously be the favorite when they fight, but I think if he beats Hendricks it'll be by decision.

I feel like alot of people don't give Hendricks the credit he deserves for being a pretty crafty striker. He throws alot of loopy punches, but he sets them up, and he's quick on his feet and with his hands, so they work for him. He doesn't have a great jab but nobody is going to outjab GSP anyways. You have a much better chance catching him cold or with effective volume striking than you do technically oustriking him.

ummm no... he hasnt... and kos did beat him. that being said, please hendricks beat ellenberger so gsp can put you on your ass like everyone else.

I thought Kos won the fight too. Either way didn't really like his performance.

That said, the win is the win and, on top of that, he's had an absolutely brutal path to contention. Unlike anything we've seen at WW recently, and that should earn anyone's respect.

Fool? Dude, your nuthuggery of guys like GSP and Pettis is just ridiculous. Why insult someone like this who's worked his ass of, done far more than his opponents, and is making a completely reasonable complaint. GSP was supposed to fight Hendricks, but called Dana and asked for Diaz instead. That's a shitty move. Period.

Funny how the people who think Kos won never say anything about the blatant eye poke in the 1st round that led to the best strikes he landed the whole fight, strikes that likely affected Hendricks for the rest of the fight.
