Default UFC's Return to Sweden Sells Out in Mere Hours

UFC's return to Sweden sells out in mere hours | News

Quote:
The UFC's second trip to Sweden is already a success, at least in terms of ticket sales.

UFC officials today announced that just like the company's first visit to the MMA-crazed Scandinavian country, "UFC on FUEL TV 9: Gustafsson vs. Mousasi" sold out on the first day tickets were available to the public.

"Stockholm, Sweden sold out in hours!!!!" UFC President Dana White wrote on Twitter.

UFC on FUEL TV 9 takes place April 6 at Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm. The evening's main card airs on FUEL TV following prelims on Facebook.

Swedish light heavyweights Alexander Gustafsson (15-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) meets former Strikeforce champ Gegard Mousasi (33-3-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) in the night's main event.

Ericsson Globe Arena also hosted UFC on FUEL TV 2, which took place in April 2012 and marked the promotion's first visit to the country. That event sold out in just three hours and drew a reported 15,428 attendees for a $2.23 million live gate.

The current lineup for UFC on FUEL TV 9 includes:
Alexander Gustafsson vs. Gegard Mousasi
Philip De Fries vs. Matt Mitrione
Ryan Couture vs. Ross Pearson
Mike Easton vs. Brad Pickett
Akira Corassani vs. Robert Peralta
Papy Abedi vs. Besam Yousef
Marcus Brimage vs. Conor McGregor
Ben Alloway vs. Ryan LaFlare
Adlan Amagov vs. Chris Spang*
Michael Johnson vs. Reza Madadi*
* - Not officially announced
Lots of Papy Abedi fans out there. Maybe they should have included Papy on the UFC 157 card to boost the gate.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone at this forum site is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

The last Swedish event was awesome, had a blast over there. I'm a bit let down by this card, I wish us europeans had a bit more substance in our cards, usually they rely on a solid main event then the rest of the card is filled with the same fighters over and over.. (papy, pickett etc).

Im personally sitiing out this card, although I am pretty interested in the main event. Goose outworks Mousasi imo
