They announce guys as the next in line for the title shot all the time now a days then change their mind and announce something else entirely a few weeks later. Barely worth worrying about these announcements from Dana as they rarely hold up.
The guy that brings in the most revenue and maybe has the credentials to justify a title shot will get the next shot when the champ is available.

Gonna be interesting if Mousasi looks great and whips that ass...
I don't expect that, I think it'll be a highly competitive fight...just pondering the possibility.

I'm no expert, but as far as I know, TRT is basically intended for older men (40+, as far as I understand). I understand other rare circumstances come up, but when a 24 year old who is in much better shape than most of the world is cleared to use TRT, red flags come up.
Also, Hendo maintains that he keeps himself tested and is always within accepted levels of testosterone in his system. Take that for what it's worth, but he has never been popped for elevated levels, and he is old.
I'm a sports purist and would prefer it be banned altogether in competition, but it isn't. And hendo's case is the most acceptable I've seen.
On topic: good job Dana. You've hyped this fight. Now if anyone believed a goddam word you said this might have an impact.

You'd think Dana would hype Hendo vs Machida as a number 1 contender's match, to help boost the PPV numbers since Ronda/Carmouche is such an underwhelming main event.

Now if anyone believed a goddam word you said this might have an impact. | It just seems that when a fighter comes out and says he uses TRT for whatever reason (legally) everyone slams them (which is fine by me. If you can't compete without using TRT then it's time to retire). But when it comes to Hendo using TRT it's ok because he's old and everything else. That's were I see a double standard.

That's were I see a double standard. | People "slam" Sonnen, because he plays an abrasive arrogant character, also because he didn't disclose his TRT to the Athletic Commission properly. And because some people thought the 17:1 ratio meant that he had 17 times the amount of testosterone in his system than the average person (his actual levels were never found to be above the allowed range).
People "slam" Belfort, because he has a history of getting popped for abusing PEDs.
Marquardt also popped hot earlier in his career, and then flip-flopped and decided he didn't need TRT.
Todd Duffee is young and built like a greek god, so PED abuse is heavily suspected.
The reason why Hendo gets a "pass" is a combination of being older, never having failed a drug test, and he doesn't physically appear to be abusing the treatment.

The reason why Hendo gets a "pass" is a combination of being older, never having failed a drug test, and he doesn't physically appear to be abusing the treatment. | I'm not talking about fighters who have been popped for roids or not disclosing that they used TRT then getting popped. I'm talking about fighters that have come out saying that they have legally used it.
Fighters that have been popped are in their own catagory, and that's being a cheater. If a fighter is using TRT legally, then they're being subjected to the same testing standards as Hendo yet they get slammed and Hendo does not.
Don't think I'm hating on Hendo because I'm not, I've always been a fan. It just seems that because he's such a huge fan favorite he seems to get a pass.
