Why didn't Dana just make a 140 lbs weight class so that it would encompass the largest amount of female fighters possible? |
he wants to remove any viable source of criticism for Rousey.
When AO tests hot, he's suspended and--on paper--one single squash match away from a shot at the champion. When Santos tests hot she's a crazy bitch with a fake doctors note.
Mind you, I'm not a Santos fan, and I believe she can easily make 135, but that she doesn't want to. And while I'm not a fan of Rousey either; I just want to see people treated with equity and consistency.

The two most well-rounded and talented WMMA fighters in history--Carano and Cyborg--are not 135.
