as far as Dan's chin goes, I dont know... I wish there was more information out there on what makes some people harder to knock out than others...
And yes, even better chins have a threshold... over time they degrade with all the punishment they take... I do see Dan getting finished in this fight, and possibly others afterwords, depending on who they match him up with... Glover would probably put him out at this point as well. | I agree with alot of what you said, but I think Glover would eat a Hendo bomb or two and go out.

Lyoto beats Hendo on points pretty easy. I like Hendo but I dont think he is fast enough to deal with Lyoto

Bas definitely knows his thing, but for somebody who does not has a tons of weapons, Machida is so damn good and succesful.
It does not matter if he has or not many weapons, the ones he has are very effective and he knows when to use them.
It is like that quote about fearing much more a man that has practiced 1 kick 1000 times than a guy who has practiced 1 time 1000 kicks.

It is like that quote about fearing much more a man that has practiced 1 kick 1000 times than a guy who has practiced 1 time 1000 kicks. | But even at that, it doesnt make sense... Machida has a very diverse attack... If anything that would apply more to Dan... although it isnt really fair to say that about either of them...
Probably just Bas backing his guy. Quote:

but Machida is very fast, accurate, and threatens you with his punches, kicks and knees.
Machida clearly tools Dan on a technical level, but Dan's chin and power will be a huge cause for concern.

Ah, now I see what people mean, yes, I DID misspoke myself, SORRY.
I could not believe I would say “One trick pony” (Is what fans said I said, and I never use that word??)
But I just heard the interview (From Spencer Lazarro, I thought you guys meant Inside MMA), and YES, I did say: “Machida doesn’t have a lot of weapons”, what I of course mean is “Machida doesn’t USE a lot of weapons”. I have been saying this on Inside MMA for many years each time before his fight; he doesn’t USE a lot of weapons.
Listen, he trains with Black House, are you kidding? You don’t know that I know he understand everything in Martial arts? That he has a Black Belt in BJJ, that he has a wrestling back ground and did Karate since he was 4 or something like that? Of course I do
This is what I have been saying for years:
He has super timing, very accurate and “great distance”, has black belts in BJJ and Karate, has a wrestling background as well.
But STANDING, he doesn’t USE a great arsenal of weapons, of course I don’t mean that he doesn’t have those weapons, no, I mean that he only uses a few attack combo’s and he does that very well.
His fighting style is COUNTER FIGHTING, waiting for the opponent to attack and counter that.
He stands almost in one line, Karate style, but with that he shuts down power attacks from the right (He’s a southpaw), it’s not only me saying this, it’s PHYSICS saying this.
He doesn’t have a power jab and can’t throw, from that stands, powerful round house kicks but he CAN use powerful side kicks with that leg.
Now, “Can he knock somebody out with his jab or his right leg with a round house kick while using only his lower leg?” I say, just look at Kimbo vs Petruzelli, it can always happen because he can still put a little body weight in his jab by pushing off his back leg and stretching his arm, but he can’t rotate his upper body. If he wants to rotate his upper body to throw a right hook (from SP strands), he HAS to “load up”, or he HAS to lead it in with a left straight.
So I am talking about perfect punching and kicking and using body weight plus rotation. Can he throw he power round house kick with his right? Yes, but only when he steps in with his left first.
His main attacks that I always have talked about on the show are: a LStraight LStraight Right hook, left kick-Left Straight, and left kick LS RH. He normally uses those combo’s the most as "power attacks", I say 70%. And OF COURSE he has a lot of other weapons, and sometimes he uses those, like when he KO’d Randy with the front kick. Also, when you bull rush him, he moves 90% of the time first backwards, and when the cage comes close to the, for him, “left” (For the opponents right)
(I can’t find a fight from him right now, but it might be the other way around, that he 90% moves to the other side, but you know what I mean, 90% he picks one side)
Exactly this is what I have been saying on Inside MMA for years
How many times did you see him throw hooks to the body? Or straights to the body, right upper cuts and even left upper cuts?
Compare all “those” techniques to the combinations that I say he throws, and THAT is what I mean. 70, maybe even 80% what I said, and the other combo’s the rest
I NEVER said he was bad, never said he wasn’t good, I actually only talk good about him, when fans follow me for a long time, and those who watch Inside MMA, KNOW that I always have been saying this.
So sorry I misspoke, there was a fight going on in the back and it proves, once again, that I am human!
Godspeed and party on!
| Bas, doing his thing.
