UFC's Michael Bisping wants rematch with 'f---ing cheat' Vitor Belfort

Quote:

LONDON – Middleweight Michael Bisping doesn't have much time to dwell on his loss to Vitor Belfort at this past month's UFC on FX 7 event. He's already training to fight Alan Belcher at UFC 159 in April.

But during a during a Q&A in support of UFC on FUEL TV 7, which takes place Saturday at London's Wembley Arena, Bisping (23-5 MMA, 13-5 UFC) said it's a "touchy subject" to talk about Belfort and the permission he received to use testosterone-replacement therapy for the fight.

"He's been busted for that in the past, and now he's allowed to put steroids into his a--hole," Bisping said. "What can I say? He's a f---ing cheat. But I do want a rematch with the guy."

Bisping declined an interview with request with MMAjunkie.com (UFC blog for UFC news, UFC rumors, fighter interviews and event previews/recaps) following the UFC's disclosure of Belfort's TRT exemption. He subsequently released a statement on his website taking responsibility for his loss despite his opposition to the use of prescribed testosterone.

Belfort, whom the UFC approved to undergo TRT prior to the bout, stopped Bisping in the second round of their headliner when he dropped the Brit with a head kick, which prompted the referee's intervention.

While Bisping's feelings on TRT haven't changed, he thinks the fight was stopped too early and wants another chance to beat "The Phenom."

"The referee stopped the fight," he said. "Fair play to him, congratulations. He was the better man on the night. But I was completely fine went I went down, and I think the referee stopped too soon, and I'd love a rematch someday."

But perhaps the loss stings a little bit more due to the circumstances around it. Had Bisping beat Belfort, he would have earned a title shot against middleweight champ Anderson Silva.

"There's probably like, 0.1 percent of the world that actually have low testosterone," Bisping said. "But for some reason, a s---load of fighters have low testosterone. I don't need testosterone. I'm a bad-tempered bastard in the best of times."

For now, they will walk separate paths. Belfort is scheduled to fight ex-Strikeforce champ Luke Rockhold at UFC on FOX 7. "The Phenom" believes he's made a strong case for a title shot at middleweight and light heavyweight, where he nearly submitted champ Jon Jones at UFC 152 before submitting himself in the fourth round.

Bisping, meanwhile, has decided he won't take a stand against the use of TRT, which remains one of the more controversial topics in MMA.

"That's the way it is," he said. "That's the way it's all set up. For me, I get my ass back in the gym, train my ass off and try and do what I can. I'm not going to stand there and debate the politics of it all."
all i have to say is this;

This made me LOL too, especially the "But i was completely fine when i went down, i think the referee stopped to soon"

hopefully Mike can get the rematch with Henderson as well...

After Dan ducked Bisping, ran away to SF and to the LHW division... Using MMA news logic I came to that conclusion.

Dan destroyed Mike... Mike built himself back up, was crying for the rematch. Dan doesnt seem interested=he is ducking him.

Vitor is probably scared of Bisping as well, clearly if he doesnt accept the fight.

God, this is why 98% of intelligent people hate this guy. His comment: "He's been busted for that in the past, and now he's allowed to put steroids into his a--hole," Bisping said. "What can I say? He's a f---ing cheat. But I do want a rematch with the guy." regarding TRT mind you is enough to illustrate the canister of marbles and marshmallow fluff where his brain should be. I can only pray this imbecile goes on a tear of gettin KO'd in brutal fashion.

Why want a rematch when Bisping is already the rightful number one contender?

He's his own biggest fan that's for sure. Dan, Chael, and Vitor aren't cheaters. This guy just can't accept a loss. I hope Belcher finishes him quick. Honestly, after his next fight I want to see Lombard or Le get their hands on him.

I think you guys are looking at it too closely. Read it for what it is and hs prtty much 100% right.

He said Vitors been caught for cheating, which is true. He said he got permission to take TRT, which is true. He said Vitor caught him, which is true. And that he wasnt completly out..which I think is true. And thatd he'd like a rematch someday, which everybody does.

Whose going to say " Oh that guy KO'd me clean and I totally dont deserve another chance at him ever", not anybody, and deffinetly not Bisping.

And TBH I like this part ""There's probably like, 0.1 percent of the world that actually have low testosterone," Bisping said. "But for some reason, a s---load of fighters have low testosterone."

"The sales pitch for TRT reads like a wish list for every man on Earth: build muscle, trim fat, improve mood, recharge energy, crank up sex drive. No wonder the prescriptions for the therapy have jumped over 500% in the last 18 years."

It IS becoming more the norm. We didnt even hear about Trt 5 years ago, now theres atleast one guy on every other card.

Throwback Fight of the Day: Cyrille Diabate Beats Down a Blue-Haired Michael Bisping | | Cagepotato

Although Cyrille “Snake” Diabate has yet to truly follow up on the brutal message he sent to the UFC light heavyweight division in his promotional debut victory over Luiz Cane (who was still pretty highly-touted at the time), he has still managed to find himself on a two-fight win streak heading into Saturday night’s UFC on FUEL 7 event. With a 19-8 MMA record including appearances under the PRIDE, Cage Rage, and Deep promotions to his credit, Diabate will need all the help he can get when he takes on Jimi Manuwa, one of the light heavyweight division’s fastest rising prospects who is fresh on the heels of a brilliant UFC debut of his own at UFC on FUEL 5.

While Manuwa may be an absolute terror on the feet, we shouldn’t be quick to forget that Diabate is no slouch in the striking department either. Aside from his background in Muay Thai and shoot boxing, Diabate actually holds seven professional kickboxing matches to his credit as well. Diabate’s final match took place in May of 2005 against fellow UFC staple Michael “The Count” Bisping, who, judging by the Jonathan Goulet-esque hairdo he was sporting at the time, was just beginning to dip his toes into the rave/clubbing/DJ’ing scene that would eventually lead him to compose these kind of symphonies but not even once attempt to play Salieri.

Stay classy Michael, stay classy.
