Fuck it, but them in a boxing ring and have Ken Shamrock fighting on the co-main against Frye or Tank and people will shell out money to see. Tim Sylvia has to eat, throw his doughie ass in there against Yvel or Butterbean and you've got yourself one helluva freakshow.

Lets call a square a square both the UFC and Rampage made money off of eachother just like when you clock in for work everyday. The company you work for is pimpin that ass making money off of your hard earned labor and as a result you get a biweekly check.

Neither Rampage nor the UFC owe eachother shit. He applied for the position, got the job, worked his hours and both parties got paid and its just that simple.
I dont disagree with anything you just stated. I just dont think Rampage has an appreciation for the opportunity that was given to him. Did he embrace the opportunity and earn his paycheck? Absolutely he did by making a name for himself in Japan, and putting his body at risk every time he steped in the ring or octagon.

Yes the UFC also made a considerable amount of money by promoting Rampage, but I think we can agree the UFC would be successful without him. Your right that neither the UFC or Rampage really owe eachother anything. It just seems that Rampage feels entitled to the sport taking care of him like he is owed something for services that he was generously compensated for.

I just think that one should be thankful for the opportunities given to them, and try not to lose site of that because they work hard or have had success. In my field of work I had someone take a chance on me, and it was mutally beneficial. I provided a service for my employer, and my employer taught me the necessary skills to run my own appraisal firm. I worked hard to get where I am, but instead of expecting that I should be taken care for my past hard work, I am appreciative of the opportunity the industry gave me. I keep working hard, and am giving back by training other trainee appraisers to do the same thing I did.

Ultimately the earth would spin on with or without me and nobody owes me anything. I am just happy to have been born in a country and at a time that granted me the opportunity to be at least be moderately succesful. However, I also realize that not everyone has to subcribe to my point of view, and Rampage certainly does not seem like someone who would.

What?

I support Rampage as well, I hope he does well at whatever he choose to do and is happy. So long as he strops bitching, although to be fair he is being asked questions and simply giving his opinion... even though most of us dont agree with it.

If he actually took MMA seriously now, and put in the time... I would still love to see him fight, weather in the UFC or another MMA org... guys like MO and AJ would be decent fights to start off with...

Everybody was talking about how rampage was in shape for his last fight... While that is good, I was never really worried about that. It is more how "sharp" he is technically. He really sucked in his last fight... His TDD was horrible, and he was rolling with shots, avoiding them, but throwing no counter... I didnt get it... I saw several times where he executed a nice slip or roll, yet didnt return fire....

I dont know the whole situation around him... but his game technically is severely lacking, especially in todays MMA. He can still be a top-10 ish guy, imo... but he really hasnt improved his game that much at all for the past 6 years or so... if anything his boxing has devolved, and he has lost a little bit of explosiveness with his age.
