I think this is total and complete fucking bullshit.

Fuck whoever decided to cut Fitch. I agree with all the assessments on how certain other fighters who couldn't hold Fitch's jockstrap still get to fight in the UFC, and lose, but Fitch gets cut after losing to Maia???

Not to mention quite a few of the other fighters on there. This really surprises me.

Real shitty, IMO.

I hope Fitch gets back soon somehow.

I might have less of a problem with Fitch getting cut if it wasn't for these upcoming title fights. I think having a belt in the UFC will lose a lot of it's significance. I would like to see more people who have no financial stake in the UFC be involved in the Title fight decision process. I would also like to see me grow a foot taller and ten years younger but niether are going to happen.

I once again agree with most of what you said, except for I would not group Edgar in with Diaz and Sonnen. Edgar lost his title in a close decision, got a deserved rematch which most people think he won, and then he dropped a weight class for a title fight. Did he deserve Aldo? Maybe not right off the bat, but he at least had a legit claim at a title instead of talking his way to one.

I have always been a Fitch fan. I actually started posting here out of frustration over the Fitch hate.

There is a difference between having elite talent and being an exciting fighter. To me this move is just further proof the UFC is in the entertainment business more than they are in the elite fighter business. A guy like Chael Sonnen can talk his way into numerous undeserved title shots. Baby faces like Uriah Faber and Kenny Florian can get repeated title shots because they are organizational favorites. Kimbo Slice gets a contract because he is a freak show. Jon Fitch gets cut because he loses one fight because his style isn't exciting enough?

It's getting harder and harder to take the UFC seriously. You can lose, get popped for drugs or be a thief and keep your job as long as you give Dana a boner.
