Seems kind of fucked up they cut Fitch. We all know Dana and Jon bumped heads but I dont know if that should warrent being fired. Fitch could beat 80% of the WW division without a problem.
WSOF should be scrambling to pick up Fitch, Hieron, Etim (for the UK fan base) and Rampage (I know, drama queen yada yada). It would add some big names and over seas appeal to their rooster.

Wow. Dana White has butt fucked Jon Fitch so many times, they'd be common law married in California.

Complacency is a mf. Atleast thats the message i think the UFC is sending.
Each of these guys has atleast one glaring issue that they have refused to improve during their tenure in the UFC, except no one is tenured. This is not a death sentence guys get cut all the time and its not always a punishment. They can go to a lower show make improvements and get welcomed back possibly. Time for these guys to see what they are worth in the open market.

So Joe Silva's reason for cutting these guys is because the UFC employs over 400 fighters and need to trim the fat?
How about ridding of the Women's division? How about the flyweight division, or at the very least combine the flyweight with BW? And they are looking to expand with the 115lb division too? What is that, like 10 guys?

On a related note, "Never F^$*ing say no to Joe Silva". Dana's quote last week seems a little more serious now. Quote:

Kinda fucked up that they released Jon Fitch, a top 10, after he had FOTN just a couple fights ago. Sure, he got dominated by Demian Maia, but that's no reason to release him after a 1 fight losing streak.
Then there's guys like Dan Hardy who lost 4 in a row and still had a second chance. Why? Because he comes to fight? He had zero offense against GSP and Anthony Johnson, KO'ed by Hardy and did have a great fight against Lytle but still got submitted. Grispi at least got cut. I don't know how he was able to get a fight after losing 3 in a row.

For me, Jon Fitch, Mike Russow, Jacob Volkmann, Jay Hieron, Terry Etim, Paul Sass and Ulysses Gomez are all fighters who should've been retained on the UFC roster. Maybe I'd flinch on Sass and Etim, but the rest are solid as hell.
Think of all the TUF scrubs that wash in every season to the prelims that will never do anything and get bounced because they're not of this caliber, these guys are at least, UFC caliber fighters.
Seriously, where the hell is Mike Swick's name if FITCH is the WW getting cut?
This is some bullshit and I'm not even a Fitch guy.

How can guys like Hardy and others stay on the roster but then UFC cut guys like Fitch? Well what is UFCs loss is going to be someone elses gain.
