If Anderson has an off night Chris can certainly capitalize. But against the Anderson Silva who clowns most of the top middleweights in the world.....I see Chris catching a counter, getting hurt, going down and having the ref pull Anderson off of him. I just don't think Chris is special enough to beat Silva. The only hope he has is for Silva to have a bad night or just get old that night. Hasn't happened yet, but it could....Of course after weidman loses, his "supporters" will forget him like an old pop singer.......

The problem with not wanting to face "the best contenders available" might be due to the fact that people still don't know who in the hell Weidman is. This is an excellent opportunity for Chris whom has everything to gain and nothing to lose. Its a shame reaslly because a fight against Vitor would have cemented Weidman as a serious contender.
