The meat heads that don't like Machida probably don't know wtf they are looking at it anyways. They showed up to see a bar fight not professional mixed martial artists. | Did that fight live up to even a fraction of your expectations or are you simply happy Lyoto won? That fight was anticlimactic, there's no denying it.

A slow plodding power puncher who is very hard to hurt versus a points fighter who's very fast and stays on the outside. Machida doesn't really have the power to hurt Hendo, and Hendo is way too slow to catch Machida. Quote:

I think Jones smashes him, finish in Round 1 or 2 | No I don't, but it doesn't really have anything to do with the thread. I think Sonnen has almost no chance, but upsets happen all the time.

How many PPV's has Lyoto headlined? 5?
UFC 98 - 635,000 est. (Evans vs. Machida) Title Fight
UFC 104 - 500,000 est. (Machida vs Shogun) Title Fight
UFC 113 - 520,000 est. (Machida vs Shogun II) Title Fight
UFC 123 - 500,000 est. (Rampage vs Machida)
UFC 140 - 480,000 est. (Jones vs Machida) Title Fight
Not terribly bad, I would say he's one of the better draws. He hasn't won a headlining card since 2009 though and this may be a reason for the declining numbers in events he's shared the headlining spot with.

Yet if Machida were to talk a bunch of trash his "drawing power" would certainly go way up. Personally I would prefer he didn't though. I would pay to watch Machida fight over Sonnen any day.
I don't have time to look up the stats, but I would bet Machida has a much higher finishing rate in the UFC than Sonnen does, despite his elusive style.

The KO never came, so this probably won't be a fight I will be re-watching for years to come, but at the time of the fight, I had a blast.
The Evans v Lil Nog fight for me was terrible.

And while Jones was badmouthing Machida's PPV sales, his other fights only did so well because of Evans and Rampage's trash talking. Jones himself is not really a huge draw.
