| Schaub admits to boring, safe strategy to secure win and save job Schaub admits to boring, safe strategy to secure win and save job - Mixed Martial Arts News Quote: |
"I had to win tonight," Schaub said. "The last two fights I lost, I fought with my guts rather than my brains. But tonight I needed to win this, so I used my brain. I know people were expecting a slugfest, but I've been working hard on my BJJ and thought I could sub him. At one point, he was talking to me on the ground saying, 'Come on, dog, let's stand and give the fans a show,' and I said, 'Sorry, bro, I gotta win this fight.' And he said, 'I hear ya.'"

He should have given the fans what they wanted... a huge highlight reel KO.. with himself on the losing end.

Dana should keep on the roster i guess, but keep him on the shelf for like 18 months and tell him he's just playing it safe with using him on a PPV event again

No blames goes to Lavar Johnson and his horrible TDD/grappling/ground game ability? Instead of telling the other fighter you want to get off the mat, how about you physically get him off you and get up yourself?

This massive person just falling over and going into turtle mode. Sad as well.

It was boring but at the same time standing with Lavar Johnson is scary as hell. Maybe if he went for subs or ground and pound he wouldn't be in this spot.

That sorry piece of shit. Exploiting his opponents weaknesses, using a game plan to get a much needed win so he doesn't lose his job. What a dumb fuck, I hope he flips his car and steps on an anthill.
