| Jon Fitch expects to announce new deal later this week Jon Fitch expects to announce new deal later this week - Five Ounces of Pain : Five Ounces of Pain Quote:
Countless opinions have been offered on the UFC’s decision to axe perennial contender Jon Fitch after a recent loss despite his past success in the promotion and status as one of the Top 10 welterweights in MMA. However, the one person who hasn’t spoken about the release is Fitch himself.
That changed earlier today when the 35-year old, who celebrated his birthday over the weekend, went on Twitter to offer a quick update to fans upset by his cut.
“Want to thank everyone for all the support and thoughts. I should have news this week on where I will be fighting next,” wrote Fitch.
The two most likely landing spots for Fitch are Bellator and the World Series of Fighting with the latter recently emerging as the frontrunner. Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney has already gone on record stating his organization wasn’t interested in Fitch, instead focusing on homegrown talent, while WSOF officials had a different take altogether with President Ray Sefo even calling Fitch’s signing a “done deal”.

WSOF has about 12-15 WW on their roster. It's available on their website.

He'll win the Bellator title in a battle of Kimbo/Alexander proportions. That is to say it will be the most boring fight of all time.

Everybody assumes he'd easily win a bellator, that doesn't work out for most UFC vets who go into Bellator. While I think he could win, I don't underestimate those hungry motherfuckers in the Bellator. Especially the shark tank Welterweight Division, I think it's their strongest and most exciting division. That being said I hope he does go to Bellator, I'm surprised Bjorn said that. Fitch is a top 10 welterweight, but then again he has one grapple fucker already, maybe he doesn't see the value in having two guys with that style in the same division. But I just gotta know who the world's greatest gapple fucker really is............I just hope I can stay awake long enough to see the decision...

I know he said he isn't gonna change, but he is trying to finish people. His gnp looked a lot better against Amassou. His hands will probably never look good on the feet, but at least he finished someone in his last fight.
Not a given that Fitch beats Askren. Would be a good grappling match.

Mr. MMA News Poster, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone at this forum site is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

If Fitch were a known commodity or a great draw, that may be worth the risk...but would you put a name you've worked hard to establish in jeopardy for a solid-but-not-outstanding draw that you know will bring predictable nonsense from dana? Quote:

I would love to see Saunders beat Askren, I just don't think he could keep it standing with him.
