Thanks I'm calm Kevo.
Having been under & administering drug testing since 1983[ ya some of you weren't born yet ] I know weed from users of more than once lingers in ones system. If I wanted to keep my job I needed to be clean. Also while working blood levels had to be below 0.02%
to drive 0.08 & cdl 0.04 in short if you looked at a drink you were almost over the limit @ 0.02.
In short these guy's no the rules either take the time and red tape to get a exemption or face the result.

Some Gomi fans made the excuse that the marijuana was performance enhancing because it lowered his pain tolerance from the trouncing Gomi was putting on Diaz.

Marijuana does no such thing. I went to a dentist once thinking it's for a cleaning, not realizing (finals week so my mind was elsewhere) that it was for a filling. I went stoned and the needle hurt more than anything as did the actual xylocane that I felt going into my veins and the anesthesia felt heavy and painful and took forever to go away.

Not acute pain or headaches, though. From personal experience.

That sort of pain is nullified by neural adrenaline during a fight regardless and is usually not prevalent unless acute such as muscle tear (but even this goes unnoticed often).

Weed is not a PED but then again neither is Heroin. I am sure if a fighter tested positive for Heroin they would get suspended as well.
If it is on the banned substance list then just do not take it. End of story.

IMO, it's just pot. I don't regard it as something that enhances performances and in my personal view, if it isn't a substance that places the opponent at a physical disadvantage or at risk of potentially receiving more damage/injury, I'm fine with it.
I mean, if the NBA or NFL suspended a player for 8 months for failing a test for pot, there'd be barely enough players to field a team.
That said, Riddle has done this shit before and knows what the punishment is, so it's ultimately on him. But it's silly that it's a banned substance.

It is not a banned substance because it is a PED, it is a banned substance because the Federal Gov't still deems it illegal. And all substances that the Federal Gov't deem illegal are considered banned by the all ACs and the UFC.
Yea, should pot be legal, yes. But it is not and until it is then you have to play by the rules regarding it.

I'm curious if any TRT bashers are defending/condoning the use of marijuana. I don't remember anyone saying "If you have some chemical imbalance/mental disorder that stresses you out to the point where you need to rely on drugs, then maybe you shouldn't be fighting." I mean, it's not fair to all the other guys who have to deal with the stress of having to get in the cage and fight another person in front of a huge audience, right? Right?!
