Jacob Volkmann has quickly landed back on his feet following his release from the UFC last week.

The lightweight has signed a multi-fight contract with World Series of Fighting, Al Abdel Aziz, the promotion's executive vice president and matchmaker, confirmed with MMAFighting.com Tuesday night.

The 32-year-old is expected to debut for WSOF in June at the promotion's third event.

I think cutting Mills was more of a statement for how bad his fight was more then anything else. Like take the Lytle/Kos fight; Lytle was held down for almost the entire fight and was badly cut open. Second he gets some space at the end of the fight he just goes balls to the wall and tries to take Kos' head off. No way Mills would get cut if he went after it like that at the end.
