|  UFC 158 Countdown - Nick Diaz "These Guys use TRT ; I use marijuana"
Countdown to UFC 158: St-Pierre vs. Diaz - YouTube
During the countdown video Nick Diaz makes a very good point concerning his medical marijuana suspension. He states something to the affect that "These guys get these medical TRT exemptions and steroids to heal and get better and I use marijuana to clear my head"
I absolutely agree with him that marijuana does not help his performance but anyway, what are your thoughts?

he's not high during the fight anyways, the problem I have with this is that they are testing for metabolites, same with job "drug" screens. Look at this; How Long Each Drug Stays In your Body.. Drug Use Chart
Vicodin FFS, is detectable in blood for only a few hours (depending on the form, up to 24 hours)

Its at the 6:20 mark just in case anybody was wondering...
Cant he get a therapeutic exempt and be able to use cannabis?

It is a Federally illegal drug, therefore you can be punished for using it. It has nothing to do with performance. Employers have the right to not permit you to work for them if you use banned substances, period. He knew the rules coming in, so follow them or take your suspension and shut up about it. It's not like they hid the fact that they tested and suspended for weed use.

Something else I noticed during the Countdown..
When they were highlighting the Diaz Condit fight, after the decision was read Diaz turned to Lorenzo and said it was bullshit. Lorenzo responded he, "will have to look at the scorecards, this is out of control".

Marijuana advocates need to put the constant--and entirely inappropriate--comparison to PEDs down and slowly walk away.
It's not doing them or their cause any good, it's just furthering the negative--and sometimes entirely inappropriate--stereotype that marijuana users don't have any concrete understanding of the world around them.
