| Weidman: Sorry I'm going to f--- up your superfights Weidman: Sorry I'm going to f--- up your superfights - Mixed Martial Arts News Quote:
One man that doesn’t want to hear any of that talk is No. 1 UFC middleweight contender Chris Weidman. He is slated to square off with Silva in the UFC 162 main event on July 6 in Las Vegas.
He knows people really want to see fights like St-Pierre vs. Silva or Silva vs. Jones, but all Weidman has to say about that, at least according to UFC president Dana White, is sorry I’m gonna upset your apple cart.
“I talked to Chris Weidman myself. Guy looks me right in the eye and says, ‘I’m telling you, I apologize that I’m going to (expletive) up all your superfights,’” said White following Saturday night’s UFC 158 in Montreal.

I am not going to bet agianest one of my fav fighters (Anderson) but Chris beats him this time,
Chris has the wrestling to get a TD and when he gets one Anderson wont get back up till the end of the RD. Anderson will dodge some of the TDS but bot all
Once it goes to the ground there will be no "hell mary triangles" agianest a Serra/Renzo blackbelt. Chris has the top game to control and GnP Anderson. Here is the other difference....Chael dont hit hard--Chris will take your head off in the GnP
I am a Anderson Fan but he get beat this time IMO

I do not doubt that Weidman may have a chance to get Anderson down, but the fact of the matter is Anderson only has to maintain being on his feet just once to get the opening he needs.
I think within three rounds Anderson will get the TKO, he may get taken down and receive a few shots here and there but I just do not see Weidman subbing Anderson and I do not think he will be knocking him out...so Anderson by TKO within 3.

I find it hard to pick against Anderson. I think for Weidman to win he is going to have to fight like how Cain did with JDS. He's going to have to be aggressive and in Anderson's face with strikes and then mix in a takedown.

I'm kind of feeling like we're approaching a changing of the guards. Silva has looked great in his last few fights, but Weidman is still a bad match up for him. Also GSP's reflexes in the striking have seemed to diminish, as he was wobbled against Diaz and almost KO'ed by Condit. If anyone can put him away, it's Hendricks. Those leaping hooks are lethal and GSP has no where near the chin of Condit.
However, both champs are still mostly dominant. Silva put in a few lackluster performances, but he's really turned the corner since then. GSP has been consistently shutting down the opposition. It would still be a shocker if Weidman and/or Hendricks won, but I think these guys are both really stiff tests.
