| WWE vs. UFC www.wrestlinginc.com UFC To Respond To WWE Challenges, UFC vs. WWE Star In MMA?
By Ryan Clark, WrestlingInc.com Staff
According to the Wrestling-Observer Newsletter, a highly-ranked UFC official said that the company no longer plans to ignore WWE's public "challenges."
While UFC let Angle's storyline "open challenge" to anyone from a 4-, 6- or 8-sided ring go unaddressed, it will not be doing that in the future. If WWE attempts to put one of its wrestlers over as superior to MMA fighters, it will respond to put public pressure on WWE to make the match happen.
"Now that we have exposure, we're not going to be ignoring stuff like this. We'll go public and have Chuck Liddell accept any public challenges or claims they'll make," the source said. |

At first I thought this was going to be a fantasy matchup thread.
It would be interesting, but I have my doubts that anything like it would ever happen.

God this is so stupid! Why would they even pay mind to a statement like that??? Like they're actually going respond to a fight?? And first of all wasn't Kurt talking about that other wrestling place that has that weird ring with like 6 sides or something? Last time i checked the UFC has an octogon CAGE not a ring. A bit of overracting here and i wouldn't be surprised if it was just some sites instigating something that really is nothing. Here we go again with the wrestling/mma crap!

I mean I cant see a WWE fighter fighting a UFC fighter, just seems like it has a 0% to less then 0% chance of happening, a smart businessman like Dana wouldnt do it.. you wouldnt want a WWE fighter to accidently win if that happens the UFC is done for.

TNA is 6 sides I believe.
Say it did happen and the WWE guy wins, it means nothing. They are all (barring SOME of the wrestlers, but most are) athletes. Anything can happen in the fight game.

There you have it that's what i was talking about, that should be the end of the conversation. Him saying 8 was just a sarcastic swing at the TNA one, nothing to do with the UFC i guarentee it.
