What is everyones take on Brandon Vera? Is he really going to be the Champ of HeavyWeight Division? Will he drop to Light Heavyweight? will be good enough to beat Both Champs and hold both titles?

He did an interview with CFZ radio and he said that he doesnt want to do both weight classes now. He wants to be the best heavyweight, get the title and keep the title for a very long time.

Good technique, beautiful muy thai knees. He has good standup and very good clinch. Heavys dont like being on the ground, so why isnt he capable? He said he wouldnt take a title shot right now, cuz he feels he is not ready. He wants more experience and then he wants to go for the belt.

He has alot of potential. Solid ground game with ADCC background. His stand up has been impressive so far from what I have seen. He will have his 1st real test with Silva though. Silva has Pride experience and took the UFC Heavyweight champ the distance. This fight will really show what Vera is made of.

I personally think he's the future of the LHW division, but at HW....no.

The big guys would maul him.

IN AN INTERVIEW HE SAID HE DOES NOT WANT TO FIGHT AS A LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT HE WANTS TO FIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT!!!

Well let me reiterate my answer (read as opinion) to the thread question.

I don't think he will do much as HW but he will be a good LHW.

Once he gets beaten by a true HW he will drop to LHW a la Couture.
