Well I'll admit, my assessment of Ortiz is influenced by the fact that I really don't like that dude. Yea, he probably would hang. And I wouldn't mind seeing Wanderlei beat the snot out of Tito before he faced Chuck anyway.

you're fucking joking, right? even if this wasn't a one off deal where pride let's wanderlei come into ufc solely to fight chuck (and then go back to pride), what kind of moron would have wanderlei fight some kind of warmup/#1 contender type fight?

i think it is for the belt because goldberg mentioned a couple times that the fight would happen assuming chuck gets past babalu. which kinda sucks because i REALLY wanna see this fight but i also REALLY wanna see babalu beat chuck so i'm torn. and as for the complaining that silva doesnt deserve a shot over ortiz, that's ridiculous. silva is ranked over rua, nogueira, babalu and ortiz in the world. just because he isn't on a streak in UFC doesn't mean he's less deserving than ortiz. that's why anderson silva walked right into a number one contender's match.

I would like to start off by saying....BULLSHIT! I know Tito has got to be going crazy right now. How do they give a title shot to someone who hasnt fought for the company in years, and that has been fighting over in pride all this time a free pass title shot. I mean Wanderlei is a bad ass motherfucker,and without a doubt one of the top, if not top light heavyweight in the world. But while he was in the UFC all he did was get his ass kicked. And now he get gets a title shot in a company he isn't even working for before Tito Ortiz, a men who already beat his ass once! Now I know this is a 100% business move, and a very smart one because everyone wants to see it. But at the same time they're screwing one of the Top draws, if not the top draw in the MMA world. And this after Tito has just beaten all the fighters they've put infront of him on his UFC comeback tour, even a senile Ken Shamrock for the second time,(cut all that bad stoppage shit, if Tito kept goin he would of ended Shamrock's life) they take his shot away until who knows when because they got Wanderlei, I like him just as much as the next guy, but everyone get a rematch,well everyone except Tito even after just agreeing to a pointless rematch fight with Shamrock. Now I think what the smart thing to do would be have a rematch between Wanderlei and Tito, I mean since everyone is doubting Tito anyway these days, leet him beat the top light heavyweight again get all those dumbasses that saying his fights have been so-so against so-so fighters off his back, and have it whoever wins that fight gets a shot at Liddell. Because I dont care what anyone says Tito might of lost to Chuck before, but I dont see that happening again.Another side note, that way Tito wont up and retire, and leave the UFC looking like dumbasses. And thats my peace!

I Think Silva is pound for pound the best fighter in the world today. He's viscious! If he loses to to Liddell it's because there's too many restrictions against his fighting style, one of the reasons why he left UFC the first time! He should not have a problem with Liddell especially if this fight took place in Pride. Liddell already lost to "rampage" Jackson in Pride. Through him into the title mix too and you have an amazing Lightheavy division!!!!
