Yea, if I am Tito I am fuckin ripping right now. Because didn't he already beat Silva at like UFC 25. I know thats a while ago, but still a win is a win no matter how many years ago it was. But if Liddell loses to Sobral what happens? Do you think they change it to Ortiz vs. Silva 2 just to make money or have Sobral fight Silva? Or would they even keep it Silva vs. Liddell without the title?

I dont get the way Dana puts these cards together. Im pumped that this fight is a possibility but, now Chuck is thinking about 2 fights and if I was Babalu I would feel a little disrespected and undermined about the fight anouncement before his title shot. At the same time the distraction may help him. I also agree that if I was Tito I would be a little puzzled as well.

When asked during the post-UFC 61 press conference whether the Liddell-Silva fight will be a title fight, UFC president Dana White reportedly said, "It will be for the title." When asked by another reporter whether Silva is signed for a certain number of fights in the UFC, White reportedly said, "Yeah, three [fights]. We're probably going to have him for three." When asked by another reporter whether there will be more Pride stars fighting on future UFC cards, White reportedly said, "Possibly. Every year, we try to take it to another level." http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/...2346&zoneid=13 |

Fedor anyone?
Like I said, UFC buys out Pride within the next five years

Tito may think he deserves the next title shot...but a win over Shamrock and a questionable victory over Forrest doesn't make him the next guy in line to get a shot. I think he should face a better LightHeavy like Vera or anybody really before he gets another shot. A rematch with Forrest maybe?
As far Liddell/Siva, that fight will be INSANE. Christmas comes early for MMA fans. Could go either way, as you could make a case for either guy. Silva may be the best in the world but Chuck probably has the heaviest hands in MMA and great takedown defence....who knows.

Like I said, UFC buys out Pride within the next five years | I disagree, and i hope the UFC never buys out Pride.
Pride is the reason i even got into MMA.
Fighters like Fedor Emelianenko, Sergei Kharitonov, Big Nog, Lil' Nog, Mark Hunt, Cro Cop, Wanderlei Silva, Fujita, Sakuraba, Igor Vovchanchyn, Rampage, Overeem, Mousasi...these guyz encourage me to watch Pride whenever possible
Pride has the more versatile fighters, and since the Pride rules are better, the fights are much more entertaining than the UFC fights.
