I'm in absolute shock this is actually gonna happen. Who will win, I honestly don't know, the fight should be AMAZING ...... but the bigger question in my mind is how did the UFC get Pride's top 205er, who I assume is under contract, to fight in the UFC, and if they can get the 2nd biggest name in Pride in the Octagon ........ when's Fedor coming?? It seems like just a matter of time.

oh my god is all i can say i never saw wanderlei walking out into the octagon and standing face to face with chuck the mma gods have answered all ours prayers now chuck needs to kill babalu and then its on come on chuck we all wanna see you beat babalu then take on silva

First off when it comes to the new question of who will win Chuck or Wanderlei I have to say what a fucking surprise Silva back in the UFC...we can go on for days with the discussions...so I will say this... as a big UFC fan over Pride I will say that Silva wins against Chuck but also saying that I think that Chuck loses to Babalu and again saying that where does Ortiz lay??? He was to get a title shot against Chuck when he beat Shamrock but after tonights contoversial stoppage where does everything lay... I think they should say Liddell vs Sobral UFC 62 as is and then have Silva vs Ortiz, winner of that faces the light heavyweight champ which I also think will be Babalu...but where Silva hasen't beat Ortiz why should he get the title shot before Ortiz??? Question after question can be ask but all I will say is that the next couple of months should be interesting for sure.

when mike goldberg said they were going to officially announce an upcoming fight, i told everyone i was watching the ppv with to shut up, but figured it would be something disappoing like announcing sherk/florian for the lw title at 62. when dana said "wanderlei silva, come out here, i couldn't fucking believe it."

unfortunately, that was the most exciting thing about ufc 61.
silva's english was pretty good, though is "fight/fuck" slip up was quite hilarious. this is going to make me root against babalu.

w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-wanderlai silva by ref stoppage.. thats gay that it is in ufc though.. that means.. cheap elbows.. no stomps.. no kneeds to the end.. id love to see wand stomp that stupid mohawk into the mat ( even know chuck is a respectable, talented fighter )... i think wand will take him with punches and maybe a few knees

I don't know whitey ...... I don't think Chuck will lose to Babalu now that he has a shot at Silva ..... seriouslly. And Ortiz I doubt could even hang with Wanderlei, Chuck or Sobral these days. The next few months will be very very interesting.

Oh yeah interesting for sure but if Chuck beats Babalu again like you say he does and I say he dont I also dont think that Silva should get a title shot in his first match even though I think he is the best in the world...I just think he should face Ortiz first ...that would be a great fight...and say that ortiz wont hang..he will.

no dis respect to wanderlei, i think chuck wit get him wit his A game... but fuck tito an sobral, they aint on the same level as WAND or CHUCK...

I think if anyone has a chance to beat Liddell its Silva and is this for the belt???
