Fuck all that Shamrock was screwed shit. For one Shamrock should not of even gotten this fight after Tito made his face look like it had a massive algetic reaction to his fist. But Shamrock being a UFC legand and adding end his non-so bitching. He got to make himself look like the senile mothefucker he has become again infront of the whole world. I mean he's the fucken Evander Holyfield of MMA. So everyone can just stop has this Harb Dean hating, I mean im like anyone else I would of love to see Tito beat the fuck out of Shamrock again and finally shut his ass up and retire his ass for good. But how would the UFC look if Tito kept beating a sitting duck Shamrock in the head with elbows, and end up ending a 42yr old UFC legand life while the ref just stood there and watch, because he didnt want to stop the fight. Damn whats so hard to relize Shamrock wasnt fighting back, he wasnt doing nothing but getting his head even more fucked up.

It was the right call. If you cannot defend yourself then it's over. Safety is the number one thing. I know you all wanted to see a beating, but it's not just about what you want it's about safety as well so you can keep the UFC the way it is.

If you watch this tape again you will see he didn't defend himself even after the first elbow. After that, it looked like his eyes were shut for a bit and looked like bed time to me. It was a good stoppage and rightfully so with how much animosity towards each other. I'm sure that put them on high alert early.

Herb did stop the match too early. However, if it had gone on longer Shamrock would have just eaten more elbows and eventually been stoped when it was much more obviouse that he was done. I was just pissed bc i wanted Shamrock to take another beating. Great fucking call Dean.

every fighter in the audience the camera panned to was in disgust that dean stopped it. goldberg is afraid of upsetting anyone, so of course he's going to support the decision and i think couture just didn't wanna start any shit. i think if rogan was there he'd say the same thing he said about the UFN judge: "he should be shot!" goldberg and randy kept saying "well if he can't intelligently defend himself they gotta stop the fight" but shamrock's not intellegent. and sure, he wasn't defending himself, but thats because his arm was stuck behind tito's leg. you can clearly see him moving his arm to attempt protection. this is just a crap call. all dean had to do was let it go another 5 or 10 seconds and there probably would have been a clear, decisive victory. but no, he got ahead of himself and now there's that doubt of what if. now there's going to be a tito/shamrock 3 and we have dean to blame. thanks dean. thanks for giving us another pay per view that will be packed and promoted with clips of tito giving the finger and shamrock saying ridiculous threats about punching hair black and spanking men.

Tito would have hurt him very bad I think if it went another 30 to 40 seconds but it still should of not been stopped that quick

Default A Joke

No to sound like a conspiracy nut but it seems to me that this whole fight may have just been a stepping stone for number 3. I mean obviously adding the Ortiz/Shamrock names to the line wit Slyvia and Pitbull helped sell more PPVs which is the ultimate goal. It pretty well known that Triologys is what is all about in the fight game... Everyone loves the mystic of a 3 fight series with two even match fighters giving it all they have. They are the biggest sellers out there. And lets just say for arguement sake that the UFC wanted to guarentee a legit third Ortiz/Shamrock fight they could go about doing this one of two ways A. Shamrock wins (Well from the first 90 secs and the whole last fight that doesnt look too possilble and Tito aint the type of guy to take a dive for alittle extra cash) so with that out of the realm of possibilty what else can we do? B. Tito wins a controversial fight. Well what is the best way to do this? I think what happened to night was without a doubt the most reasonable and likely way that the UFC could guarentee the triology but thats just my thought on that. I have seen Herb Dean stop fights prematurely (in my opinion) before and honestly theres no way getting around that he did. Ok someone has to be able to intelligently defend themselves right? well Shamrock did take 3-4 short bows to the head but i ask you was He knocked out? No Was he badly injuryed? No Now maybe if ole Herby dont step in Tito lands three more big elbows and knocks out shamrock but we will never know. You have to give Shamrock some kind of chance to respond and if he doesnt and continues to take punishment then you stop the fight not after three decent "not great" decent elbows. If the fights were supposed to be stopped when it was then NO Tito fight would ever go more then 90 seconds because thats what he does. Alright well anyways i find myself actually wanting to see the third fight now for the simple fact that no "UFC Hall of Famer" should have to go out like that. You can say what you want to about Shamrock but the guy has all kinds of Heart and should atleast be allowed to go out swinging. One last parting shot .. I have been a UFC since the days of Dan the Beast Severn, Royce Gracie and Shamrock and tonight was the most dissappointing PPV i have ever seen them put on. The first fight with Yves and Stevenson was the only decent fight. So bring on Chuck!!!!!!!!

I am like most of the others, I liked Shamrock from his early UFC days, the fight was stopped way to early. It was the best shape I ahve seen him in years. Tito would have won but I felt with all the damage that was dealt in the earlier fights, this should have been allowed to go on a little more.
