This is my problems with the whole fight.
This is the UFC not high school wrestling. Let them fight to the end. Shamrock got beat down in the first match and Tito could not knock him out. If fact the only punch that dropped someone in the match was when Ken hit Tito. If you have the fight recorded look at Chuck's face. He was like, this is a joke right. The whole crowd booed. And that whole, It was for Ken's safty is a bunch of crap. The first match would have ended a lot sooner if that was the case.

Yea it's not high school wrestling, it's a sport. And it's a sport that's sanctioned. It's not a death match. It's bad for business if fighters receive permanent injuries. The crowd boos because they're ignorant. It's become trendy to go to UFC events which brings in money and people with no knowledge of MMA or transitions who just want to see blood and knockouts. Unfortunately for them, the UFC follows the Nevada State Athletics commission regulations. Go watch the first fight again, and see how many times Ken stops fighting. Because that fight continued because Ken didnt stop defending himself.

Sure it is bad for business if someone gets a permanent injury, just like in any other sport that has popular atheletes. I actually watch the sport for the wrestling and like the submission moves more then strikers. I like Chuck, but I would watch a submission match first. Also, I think Chuck know about MMA and he appeared to be less then impressed with the match.

I could care less about Tito or Shamrock... that being said I felt the stopage was a little hasty and that sucks if that was Shamrocks last fight that resolved nothing between those two. I think maybe just a little longer to see if he could get his barrings and protect himself. I actually felt like I authorized one of those heavy weight boxing fights that ends with a disqual for low blows or the fighter bites an ear off and you never get to see a good fight.

Sametime remember the match with Forrest, there is no way that Shamrock could not last longer than Forrest against Tito. Damn it! He's strikes a t the start were looking could but did he charge in, he should tried them out at first.

True it is not a death match, but it is a business and the fact of the matter is that no manner of Dana White anouncing new Liddell matches or a bad drunken boxing match....sorry could help pick on that one...brought the fans out of the funk that decision caused. As for uneducated fans it wasn't just the fans Liddell looked shocked and Coutour took several seconds of recovery to start even trying to sound definitive about why the heck they stopped the match he sounded as suprised and disgusted as Liddell looked in the moments after the match and even during the interview with Tito. I cannot wait to here a post match with shamrock. But now we are stuck with what in a majority of the fans minds (reaching a bit to know) is a tainted victory in easily the most heavily hyped match in a long time. Now what how are you going to from a business standpoint tell all those possible new fans that UFC needs to keep growing that last night was an abboration and doesn't happen. How will they try and market it...uhhh well our rules work.....Chuck Liddells gonna be back.......Surely it won't happen again...But if a new fan is sitting looking at the card for UFC 62 with the buy botton under thumb isn't this decision going to play in the back of there head? I've been a fan for years and I'm going to be thinking about it!!!

Default Ufc Riggs Fights

That was the biggest bullshit I have ever seen in the 12 years that I've watched the UFC. It was rigged to happen that way. Dean was told that if Shamrock was in trouble to stop the fight so that they could generate more profit from the next fight with these 2. Forrset was screwed and now Shamrock.......What the fuck has the UFC turned into.

Very well put. I would like to see the PPV numbers for last night and compare them to the next PPV. I know they will probably be lower because no Ken v Tito, but how many people will be turned off enough not to watch. I probably wound not watch another Ken v Tito, but who knows.
