Just watched the ppv and am pretty pissed off at Herb dean, what is that dudes problem
that fight was stopped way way too early, tito lands 4 short elbows and he stops it? wtf????did anyone see titos last fight with griffin? Tito took him down and POUNDED the shit out of him for five mins , bustin him wide open and the fight was not stopped and ended up goin the distance

gotta say i feel for shamrock, he was in great shape and deserved the chance to compete, edwards took a far worse beatin and was given that opportunity, and even Christionsin took worse punishment in stages from Mir and the fight continued

the whole thing is BS, and i not a shamrock nuthugger, but i paid for this ppv to watch 2 fights only, the 2 main events, and Herb Dean fucked one of them up for me

if this was a ppv boxing match stopped that early there would be fucking outrage, imagine if Mosely Vargas is stopped this premature next week

i totally agree with u..i mean 40 bucks and all i wanted to see was two really good fights and i figured the other one would just be a slugfest and not make it out of hte first round but this one should of been a GREAT match...i really dislike when the ref stops the fight so soon i mean this is the fucken ufc ppl r supposed to get fucked up

definitely. there's no doubt in my mind that shamrock would have lost that fight, maybe even ten seconds from there, but dean had no business stopping where he did. i like shamrock because i'm a fan of the early UFCs, but i knew he was going to lose. i just figured that when the fight was stopped it would be at an appropriate point. i generally respect dean's decisions like mir/sylvia, but this one i cannot get behind.

it has fuckin pissed me off, and what makes it more crazy is that all the other less important fights were let go a whole lot more, like edwards was busted open, and christionson took much worse punishment and both were ;et fight on, fuck sake shamrock jumped right up after dean stopped it

i at least hope tito recognises this in the post fight press conference, and fucking dana white tries to make up for it by announcing wandy-liddel, bullshit

on a side note the whole ppv was lame, man there was 0 fireworks in the title fight, Mir looks terrible

im glad to know that someone on this board basically sees this fight the smae way i do..i like shamrock b/c of his early career and to be honest im pretty sure thats y most ppl like him...but yea i do agree with herb deans decision in the fight earlier but i mean come on as a ref wouldnt u want to see a bad ass fight right in front of u..let them keep goin and see ken and ortiz beat the shit out of each other i mean we all think diff. but if i was herb i wouldve let them beat the shit out of each other btw which round was it that it was stopped?? 2nd???

Im fucking pissed too...where was John McCarthy for that fight??? I know he is senior ref and all and there was a championship match but everyone knew Ortiz and Shamrock was going to be a BEATING and McCarthy is "The Best In The Business" he deffinatly wouldnt have jumped in then...yeah Shamrock took a couple elbows but nothing worst that the ones Edwards got from Stevenson that fella lost like 3 points of blood and they never thaughts of stoping it with 3 mins left in the second... see what mostly piss me off is that Shamrock should just RETIRE now he has another excuse to say Tito cant beat me...as for Mir...toss him to Sylvia so Sylvia can get pay back and break his fucking leg...I was a hugh fan of Mir but after he lost to Pa De Pano and that weak ass fight tonight I lost all respect for him... he wasnt ready for the fight and was waaaayyyy overweight if it was a better fighter Mir would have been done in the first.

Herb Dean should be canned for stopping that fight. Ive seen Ken take ten times that punishment and continue. Tito did the same thing to Forrest Griffen in his last fight and ran out of gas. Forrest won the next to rounds and should have won the decision but Tito was the hometown favorite.Shamrock got screwed.Fire Dean. McCarthy should ref all signifigant ppv fights. Thanks for fucking up a great fight Herb. Bread line is to the left,cheese is to the right.
