| bad herb dean stoppages
correct me if I'm wrong but I see herb dean stop fights prematurely sometimes. nothing real terrible but enough that it wouldn't hurt to let it go a few more seconds. we have all seen those few great fights that they let go a little bit longer and the guy recovered to put on a good fight or even win. premature stoppages kind of prevent these fights.
try and help me remember some of these fights he may have stopped a little to early where the fighter wouldn't have actually had something bad happen to him if it went a few more seconds.
2 such fights in my opinion
arlovski/sylvia 2
tito/ken from 61

I agree about those 2 sylvia/arlovski2 might could have gone a bit longer but arlovski was pretty much done from the look of it in that fight and you dont even wanna get me started on him stopping tito and ken lol who knows what would've happend if he'd let it go on and at least waited to see if ken could've recovered.

Sylvia/Mir was one of the toughest calls to make in recent history, and he was perfect on that one.
Arlovski/Sylvia II might've been SLIGHTLY premature, but that one was pretty similar to the Sylvia/McGee stoppage (minus some of the power, but Arlovski's "weak" chin seemed to equal everything out to make the comparison acceptable)
There isn't much excuse for the Tito/Ken II stoppage even though I did read something somewhere I thought sounded not only good but made sense. Better for him at Ken's age and with his heart/never-say-die attitude to stop it three elbows too early rather than three or more elbows too late.

You guys are too critical. Herb is one of the best referees if not the best in MMA right now. There are much worse refs in MMA like Mario Yamasaki and Cecil Peoples.
