| PRIDE claims Fujita will fight in UFC in November!
From: http://www.mmanews.com/article/154557996.php PRIDE Confirms Fujita To Fight In UFC In November
According to the official Japanese website of PRIDE, Kazuyuki Fujita will be making his UFC debut in the Heavyweight division this coming November.
PrideOfficial.com reports Fujita will be making his debut for the American-based MMA organization against an unknown opponent at this time, on the same card that the PRIDE 205 lb. champion Vanderlei Silva will meet UFC 205 lb. champion Chuck Liddell (if Liddell gets past Renato Sobral in September).
According to the article, Fujita himself has confirmed his scheduled upcoming participation with the Ultimate Fighting Championship event in Las Vegas, Nevada this coming November.
More information as we receive it.

Jeez UFC/Pride, how on earth does 'ujita' look similar to 'edor'?
still, it's a start. Don't get too used to that belt Sylvia/Monson :grinsmile26:
git.

Yeah with PRIDE coming to the U.S. (in Vegas a week after UFC has a PPV event of their own in the same city) and now all of a sudden a title vs. title Liddell/Silva dream match is happening, and in the UFC instead of PRIDE. They're giving Heavyweights over now apparently. PRIDE probably swallowed their pride (pun intended) and decided to do whatever it takes to work WITH UFC instead of AGAINST them when coming to the American market. Looks like it's UFC and PRIDE versus all these other start-up MMA companies like WFA, IFL, Strikeforce, HERO's, etc.

Wow... Who the hell is Fujita going to fight? Could it be Vera's next match? Arlovsky's return? Mir? Monson? Anyone have any ideas / hopes for this?

Fujita was originally supposed to fight in UFC a few years back. I remember it was supposed to be him and Sakuraba representing Pride. I'd like to see Fujita vs the Snowman.

Monson needs his title shot now while he's credible, it'd be too risky for him to fight Fujita before Sylvia for the belt, as Fujita could win that one and UFC doesn't have anyone other than Monson and Vera to throw at him right now. Well, and the Mir rematch.

Yeah that's true with Monson being the #1 contender and all. I just thought it would be a good match up with both being shorter HW. I don't really know who they could match him up with. UFC doesn't have much when it comes to quality HW. Mir could no way hang with him, his only chance would be a quick submission. I don't know if they would risk giving Arlovski his 3rd loss in a row. It may be Vera or Pe De Pano.

If Fujita does fight Monson...it's gonna be like a rhino vs a wild pig...shit is gonna get out of hand.

Of the HW's that aren't Sylvia, I would like to see him fight Vera (ton of potential, but don't know where he is yet), AA (maybe) or even Monson. I would pay to have him NOT fight Mir. Mir needs to get his fat ass in shape.
