Default Karate Kid Beats up Crowbar Wielding Thugs

http://www.newsday.com/news/local/lo...-top-headlines

Interesting read. Some 17 year old beat up some thugs outside the Smithaven Mall in Suffolk County, Long Island.

If anyone is bored, it is worth a quick read.

Take care all!

If anyone lives in the New York Metro area, pick up a copy of Newsday and read the article.

It contains a picture of the kid's father, who is his sensei, breaking a board across the kid's stomach. It is a pretty awesome picture. haha.

Good read. Have you seen that video clip on Real TV where the karate guy dropped the pimp with a quick chop to the chin? Then he grabbed him as he fell to help him to the ground lol, I love that kinda shit.

Blocked the crowbar with his arms????? Last time I blocked some escrimas with my arms, I was hurting. I can't imagine what crowbars would feel like!

I would image he blocked the crowbar by blocking the bad guys' forearm that was holding the crowbar, not the actual crowbar itself, but who knows?

A funny aside, I took karate as a young kid and we were taught how to block a knife, with like a karate kid "wax on" movement, and I didn't understand that we weren't blocking the knife, just the other guys' arm. At the time, I thought to myself, "but the knife would go right through my hand!" Man was I dumb back then, and truthfully, haven't gotten much smarter through the years.
