I like the way Rogan keeps saying about Chuck, "You take him down, he climbs straight back up again!"
Yeah, by using the cage to support him. He gets away with using the cage more than most fighters.
It's strange that I really like Chuck & was so happy when he beat Tito & won the LWH title from Randy (although I liked Randy too). But his dominance is making me want someone to beat him.....actually no, it's because I like Babalu as well. I'd still root for Liddle against almost every other LHW.

i don't think babalu could take chuck down you say that randy took chuck down ,but randy struggled a lot to do this and randy is argueable the greatest wrestler to ever fight in mma.i think babalu's best game plan is to keep his distance and work some leg kicks.jeremy horn had some success with leg kicks against chuck in the 3rd round.he should do this and see if chuck tires.if chuck gases that's when babalu can switch up his strategy.

This is also a bizaar point with me. Why would a predominant wrestler, bjj or submission expert want to stand with someone like Chuck Liddle?
Seriously who put money on Horn winning against Chuck after he stated that he was going stand & brawl with him?
Babalu should take him down & go for the sub, no question.

Babalu should know by now that if he's going to stand with Chuck, he's going to get another shot to the face like their first fight. He should just do what he does best and that's subs....get him down anyway possible and pull off a quick sub like he has done in his past few fights.

I dont get it either, I dont get why they say they will and why they do it.. if your gonna fight Chuck your gonna have to attempt a lot of takedowns.. who cares if he has great takedown Defense thats still your only shot as a wrestler, BJJ fighter, etc to win the fight cuz ur not gonna beat him standing up.. but some fighters still choose to do so.. Horn, and Couture are added to that list. I think Couture only tried to take Chuck down 3 times in 2 rounds? and 1 of them worked.. but 3 times?? come on now..

horn made atempts to take chuck down, but you have to take in to consideration that standing really was his best game plan...it's wrestling ability is god awful and i couldn't see him taking down chuck on his best day even if he did get chuck down there's no way he could of kept him there. let's give some credit to horn in that fight he was able to go 4 rounds with the champ(that's more than a lot of people can say these days)won a round(3rd round),recovered from some hard shots, some good knock downs. and he gave it his all.I see horn being a force 185 and i think he could take Rich's title.
