Whats next for the UFC?

I called the silva chuck fight a week before so im going out on a limb with another one. Fedor come to the ufc to fight silvia. Dana is so smart bring the best of pride to fight in the UFC. Pride and UFC could join together for an annual once a year battle of champions. That would be sick.

A champions vs. champions ppv would be crazy, but I doubt it.

I have a feeling we'll see Fedor vs. Sylvia too. I think the UFC and Pride are gonna start leveraging their champions in 2 fights a piece -- once stateside in the Octagon, and once in Pride.

You called the Chuck Vs Silva a week before the announcment???

Shit I called that 2, 3 years ago & I'm sure there's people on this forum that called it before me!

EVERYONE wanted to see Silva fight Liddle, it's just no-one really thought it'd happen!!

I can see Pride, UFC & K-1 giving some of their fighters a bit more freedom to fight for each other, which can only be a good thing.

However I've a feeling that this is a reaction to the influx of larger mma promotions (WFA, Strikeforce etc) getting in on the US market & maybe the UFC are trying to drown them.

That would be spectacular, the only hangup I see is having the titles on the line. Dana said that Wandy would fight Liddell for his UFC LHW Belt, it doesn't seem like a good idea for either organization. If they lose they have no champion for a year. Having a supercard of champion v champion, and other top tier guys from both organizations fight once a year for bragging rights. They could even alternate between here and Japan each year. Just my thoughts, however they work it out, we the FANS win.

I heard that. But will Chuck get Silva's Pride belt if he won?

Alvin 07-11-2006 01:43 PM

Actauly probably not cos it's not under Pride rules.

Wandy signed for three fights. If he leaves after those fights with the belt, then he'll be stripped of the belt (it's in every UFC contract).

Well done :mrstra: :worship: :lovesmilie8: :ass:

oh wait!... Actually you *didn't* call it, or go out on any limbs (assuming you mean the 'let's set the date' thread).

I've certainly seen you claim it more than once though...

care to cut and paste your bold prediction?

git.

ps, I regret to inform you that I have seen many peeps 'predict' Fedor vs Sylvia and an annual/biannual pride vs UFC.
