I'm half way joking. I think Penn has a better shot then Lindland. | Because who else were they going to get to fight Fedor? and Lindland is a the type of fighter who would fight anyone, and while he isnt the most known.. he is an american, and he isnt completely unknown.. the name value is there, and Lindland is a damn good fighter he puts on a fight. I dont see the problem with the match, nor do I see a problem with a rematch.

| I'd rather see Lindland/Fedor II
than Mirko Fedor II.
I thought Matt took the fight to Fedor far better than Mirko, especially for a blown up MW, where Mirko just ran from him for most of the fight.
that being said, I think Fedor would still win.
Calvin Ayre might be the only guy worse at matching fighters than Dana White.

OK.
Lindland opens up the brow of Fedor (God?) with the first real blow of the fight. He hurt a man that many of you see as the real life Terminator, and was in a vey good position to utilize his strengths until Fedor grabbed the ropes to assist in defending a takedown, AKA a violation of the rules.
The fight was ended fairly shortly thereafter, and with the controversy surrounding, it DOES make sense to give Lindland another fight with Fedor. If he loses, he loses. The fact is, Matt HAS NOTHING TO LOSE in fighting Fedor again, but oh so much to gain.
I'm just saying, it does make sense. If the roles had been reversed and it was Matt who grabbed the ropes and, in turn, submitted Fedor, 82% of the visitors here would have already sent fecal matter sundaes to Bodog Headquarters mere moments after the finish.

As my father once told me."Son, It doesn't hurt to bleed" And he was right. The Punch did little but open up the cut and make Fedor end the fight without being able to toy around with Matt. As was probably his plan. |
