I agree, the fight was stopped just a small amount early. Because Shamrock's hands were moving a little more over his face towards the last two elbows. This was a huge main event and he shouldn't of stopped it like that.

Yeah it was stopped a little early, but really we all know that 10 seconds later it would have been over anyways. Shamrock didn't get screwed, he got beat again....Dean isn't part of any conspiracy. he did what he thought was best for the fighter getting pummled.....the fans got ripped off of about 10 seconds of action.

Ya know some of you Shamrock fans are either living in the glory days of early UFC or justb flat out delusional.Here's the bottom line....It's either Herb called it too soon and saved Ken from permanent damage or Herb calling it too late and Ken either severely getting hurt or probably killed.Tito owned him from the start of the fight.There should have never been a rematch it was for publicity cause of their bad blood.Ken in his prime would have given Tito more of a run but now I see a shell of a man trying to reclaim his glory days cause the company has grown.I respect Ken for early days as a fighter and I respect Herb for reffing a clean fight and making a proper decision.Tito is the better fighter and a better human being.Ken needs to stay on vacation and never whine for another rematch.....

Who knows if he would've took 5 more elbows?Give him the verbal warning and if he takes 5 more elbows than stop the fight.Look at almost every UFC I've never seen a single fight stopped b/c of a couple of elbows.You can say he wasn't defending himself ,but that's b/c he wasn't given the necesarry time to defend himself.Every time a fighter gets hit are you going to stop the fight b/c he's not intelligently defending himself?Ken Shamrock isn't a bitch he could've took a few more elbow before Herb stopped the fight.

hey, i think i've heard this same argument about Herb before.
oh wait, i remember. people got mad when he stopped that one title fight. the super-hyped one. where Sylvia got his arm broken.

Herb isn't Larry Landless. ken was down, getting rocked. just because he wasn't out, doesnt mean he was not done. even the most average of men can sit for 20 seconds getting hit by Tito's elbows without being KTFO'd, but that doesn't mean they should go all 20.

Well thats alittle harsh Killer. You make a good point about the warning and the stopage was alittle early for my taste but i do believe it was a good stopage. Shamrock was getting murdered.

Tito would have won with 5 elbows {which were devastating}or 10 elbows or hell even with the first 2 he took the bottom line is Ken needs to leave fighting Tito out of his future endeavors if he wants to continue in the twilight of his UFC career.......
