Yeah but their name value doesn't carry as well over here in the US. They are bigger names in Japan and I'm sure get paid more than they would by WWE, especially being older guys.

Thats true. Is Prides average fighter getting paid about 20 to 30 racks per fight? I heard like 50 but Im probably wrong.

Not too sure because Pride doesn't release fighter's pay. We'll be able to to tell a little better when they come to the US in october because the NSAC releases fighters pay.
Tito did say that Pride offered him pretty much the same amount as the UFC. Which is pretty good because Tito isn't a big name in Japan.

the other reason people like frye and coleman don't go to the states to wrestle is the japanese feds are more about the action than cutting promos and storylines and shit. shamrock and severin never really hit it big in the us pro-wrestling circuit because they're bad on the mic.
giant silva wrestled in the wwf for a little while.

I read this article recently and have been waiting to hear somthing about a come back. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/drobson174.htm ... I guess he has been training and waiting I personally would like to see him come back to UFC if just for a couple of fights in the heavy weight class.
