i think silva should get the title shot since he's the best one there. i dont think his being in UFC for a short time should matter, since he's more than proved himself elsewhere. you don't see wandy fighting a UFC tune-up match, do you? but A. Silva should get the next shot, but since franklin is coming off of an injury i'd rather see him fight someone he could make short work of like swick, even though i think marquardt is next in line after silva.

it would have been sweet to see the UFC have a tournament to determine the #1 contender for Rich's belt. but i agree with Swick vs. Silva for the #1 contender spot. Swick is not the level fighter Rich is, but I'd say he still has a chance of beating Rich. Machida's knee that knocked Rich out looked kinda weak...so just imagine one of Swick's bombs connecting with Rich's chin...LIGHTS OUT! Marquardt needs to beat someone good before he is considered #1 contender, so people need to stop throwing his name in there.

mike swick has been on a good streak lateley and horn has proven himself enough, i would have said leban since he was on a good streak proir to the under one minnute ko by silva but they should but silva in a match agains louisso just to see if he can stand up to the top middleweights and then get a title shot, somepeople r saying that the leban fight was a fluke so they should give silva a match with a top middleweight to see if he is for real, and killerinstinct what u keep saying about jermery horn out of the ufc, where did u hear that from and why is he out?

ah i c what a shame that would be nice to see him in pride or something. silva has proven himself elsewhere and swick has been doing good so that should be the number one condenders match.

ps I heard it will be Silva vs Franklin in October, so Silva's my guess for #1 contender I suppose unless he can squeeze in a match with Swick in the meantime (doubtful)
