CFZ Radio (Combat Fighter Zone) returns to the airwaves LIVE today on the internet at http://radio.mmanews.com with hosts Luis Cruz, Seth Petruzelli (of The Ultimate Fighter 2), and myself Matt Boone.

Today's show is one of the better line-ups in recent history, which is saying a lot as our last few shows featured UFC 61 PPV opponents Yves Edwards & Joe Stevenson on at the same time, UFC president Dana White, and many other mainstream UFC fighters and personalities. Today, we'll take a look at another big company outside of the UFC.

Former top PRIDE 205 lb. fighter, and the only man to beat UFC 205 lb. champion Chuck Liddell and not lose to him later in a rematch, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson will join the show. Rampage is considered one of the most entertaining personalities in the entire sport of MMA, and he'll have plenty to talk about as he's going to main-event the return-PPV of the World Fighting Alliance (WFA) against former top UFC 185 lb. fighter and Olympic silver medalist Matt Lindland on July 22.

If that wasn't enough, we've got Rampage's opponent scheduled as well! The universally ranked top-5 (in some cases top 3) Middleweight fighter in the entire sport, Matt Lindland, will be our second guest on tonight's LIVE show. Lindland will discuss his upcoming match at the WFA PPV, and respond to any quotes Rampage might have for him earlier in the same show.

It doesn't stop there! I (Matt Boone) will join the program to wrap things up, helping Luis Cruz and Seth Petruzelli break down last weekend's UFC 61 "Bitter Rivals" PPV, which featured the double main-event of Ken Shamrock vs. Tito Ortiz II and Tim Sylvia vs. Andrei Arlovski III for the Heavyweight title.

Bad news. The producer screwed us by letting his domain expire so we can't run a live stream tonight. Hopefully the archive will be up sometime tonight for everyone to listen to though, sorry for the inconvience!


Boone hooked me up with a WFA guy. I got a little info off of him but most of the guys i already had their info it was just getting a hold of everyone. It's a lot easier to get things done with no middle man, so i don't really like dealing with anyone but the fighters themselves.

Last week he runs non-stop pro wrestling commercials and falls asleep on yas, and now this. I'm personally going to come down there, put him on the disabled list and take over as the new CFZ Producer...what do ya say?

We didn't have the wrestling commercials last time, that's taken care of. Hopefully this is the last time we have a major issue like this. And yes myself or rather Boone will let you know when the archive is up. He usually posts it here anyways and throws a stickied thread up. It might've been a little rough in the beginning for me without Seth to talk to because i found out literally one minute before we started that Seth wasn't going to be on because he was at some promotion. So i was a little lost and unprepared for that and doing the interview with Rampage alone, but it definately picks up and i believe turns into a really good and informative interview. The segment with myself and Boone about 61 and the other announcements went really well i think also. I can't verify any of this obviously because i haven't heard it, but i usually always think negative until i hear it. Even if the beginning is rough it's only about 2 minutes long so no worries. lol Tuesday's show is huge, a special live 1 1/2- 2 hour show, all the details are in this show.
